are you on a birth control pill?
do you take a pill for pms?
how often do you pop pills?
I mean pharmaceuticals, not vitamins, or natural supplements
I rarely get headaches, and when I do, they go away on their own in an hour or two, almost every time. The other day though, I had a really bad headache in the morning before work around 8, but didn't take any ibuprofen or tylenol before I left, figuring it would go away soon enough like my headaches usually do. So I go to work and my head keeps pounding, and pooooounding, all day, until I got off work at 5. There was no tylenol floating around at work either, so I was miserable for my entire shift. Finally though, my coworker came to relieve me and I asked if she had anything for my headache, so she ran and grabbed me one of her prescription ibuprofen that are supposed to last all day. 20 minutes later and I felt so much better. I was really irritated that day, because headaches like that never happen to me, lol.
I am on the birth control pill, and have been since I was 16. Started them for PCOS and irregular periods though, wasn't sexually active until I'd already been on them for about a year. I don't get pms symptoms too bad, so I don't take anything for them. I really only get some mild cramps [which were much worse before I started birth control], and I get rid of those easily enough just by eating a banana. Because even though those cramps are normal under the circumstances, muscle cramps in general are a sign of potassium deficiency, so just getting some in your system will help a bit with any kind of muscle cramps.
I'm also on depakote, which can be prescribed for seizure disorders, but is also commonly prescribed as a mood stabilizer. I'm on it for my intense and erratic shifts in mood, and we're still in the trial period really. I'm still at a relatively low dose, but I take it in the morning and at night. They may still up my dose, and I want to see about also getting on something for anxiety/panic, because while the depakote helps keep me relatively level on the day-to-day basis, it does nothing for the extreme anxiety I get in a trigger situation, or for the baseline level of anxiety I have all the time. We're still working it out, lol.
Pill-popping in general, I've done my fair share of, recreationally. Not so much anymore, but between 16-19 or so, I was all about the pills. Some of my friends called me 'the pharmacist' because of my experience and depth of research into any medication that can get a person high, as well as doses and street value. That's probably not what you meant though, haha. So on the daily, I take birth control and the depakote. =P
I suppose to take an allergy pill (Zyrtec) every day, but I don't. I stopped whenever it became an OTC medication. Back then I decided that I didn't have to take it since its just an OTC now. Oh well.
When I'm on my period, I'll take Pamprin. I get terrible period cramps, like to the point I physically cannot make myself get out of the bed. I was told birth control could help with the pain, I'm thinking on looking into it.
I don't take pills.
I used to take one for acne, turns out it was completely ineffective as I stopped taking it and nothing changed. They could have been placebos. I'm not the biggest fan of pill popping. Looking back on all the medications I've ever been put on, I could make the argument that they have been more detrimental than beneficial.

i very rarely take pills unless I'm in pain or really sick. maybe 2-3 times per year
Three prescriptions a day--two allergy meds, and birth control. I was given a prescription for migraines since Excedrin Migraines isn't strong enough for me, but I don't like the side effects so I don't use it.
I have chronic migraine headaches, so I have my migraine medication that I take if it's so bad that I can't really function. I don't like taking it though because it makes me really drowsy and out of it. I try to just take OTC Excedrin, if I get one.
If I have a headache or fever then I'll take advil or if I need to sleep and can't then I'll take a sleeping pill. If I have a cold then I'll obviously take cold medicine. That's it.
