Crash diets operate by reducing your daily caloric intake to extreme levels, and ANY of them (including the baby food diet) are going to work for you. Stick to it for a couple of weeks, and you WILL lose weight.
You'll also slow your metabolism and put your body into starvation mode. When you stop your diet, you'll regain all the weight that you lost - if you're lucky. If you're unlucky, you'll gain even more than you lost.
My friend tried that kind of diet and she passed out while we were walking out in the sun one. I knew she was doing it and tried to talk her out of it but she wanted to lose weight. She now has to see a special nutritionist because since it didn't work she would try other diets and wouldn't eat right. These diets aren't healthy and just mess you up; just eat grains, veggies, and fruits as well as exercise and all will work out

I've read about it and its idiotic.
Just eat healthy- fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean protein. Isn't that so much easier?
Also, when you go back to eating adult food you will gain weight back, not all of it, but you still will.
Also, baby food is disgusting, adult food- tasty, filling, flavorful.

Fad diets are bad. A lifestyle change is better. Like no refined sugars and carbs, only complex carbs, lots of proteins, fruits, and veggies.

She's telling you that this diet is a bad idea, which is not an unreasonable conclusion to make, and is perfectly relevant where your question is concerned.
