Why do I get hives after seeing my boyfriend?

last spring/summer/ early fall I started getting hives the morning after seeing my boyfriend. once late fall and winter hit, it stopped. he's always used the same products. now it;s spring again and I saw him last night, woke up this morning with hives again! wtf?! do men put off different hormones or something in the spring? I don't get it!

Hormones are almost definitely not the cause of this problem, men and women have the same hormones, just in different quantities. If it was something hormonal you would more than likely have an already existing medical issue. Where do you live geographically? It is possible that you have an allergy to a local plant species which blooms or presents itself in the spring and that your boyfriend has some proximity to this plant. The seasonal incidence of your reactions strongly suggests that this is something plant related (especially with its disappearance in early fall). Before delving further, that possibility should be ruled out.

Maybe he carries pollen dust on him in those seasons that yuo are allergic to. Or it could be his shampoo or deodorant..so many possibilities! Since it's seasonal I bet he lives where a lot of pollen falls on his clothes.

Does he change the clothes he wears, or maybe his sheets or bedding. Some people use a lighter spring/summer duvet during the hotter months. How about a change in deodorant or cologne that he doesn't want to admit to you.

You're probably allergic to some product he uses. His laundry detergent would be my first guess. After that, maybe other bathroom/hygiene products.

See him only seasonally

It's got to be one of the products he's using. See if he will change them.

Why do I have allergies in the winter? Nothing bothers me any of the other seasons.
