link - My mother still does this. link - We would use an Eagle Brand medicated oil.

link - We would also use dried insects, fossils and other natural herbs and roots. Put them all in pot.. Boil it.. You basically use it like you would in a sauna.

My mom is Korean so she has a home herbal remedy for everything.

Some of them work & other don't. But I don't take medicine either so I still to her traditional methods.

Her excuse is:

" if it worked for our ancestors before hospitals, than it should work now. "

I prefer to stay away from chemical products when I'm sick. Especially with a cold of flu, because my body eventually takes care of that itself, and modern medicine and drugs inhibit that ability in the future. Besides, I'm a little freaky right now, trying to get away from all chemicals eventually. I won't be able to fully do so for another few years, I know, but I'm doing pretty well so far.

i take vitamin C and vitamin E. both help the immune system and fight colds/flu
