If I eat only raw veggies will I lose weight?

If I eat pretty much only raw veggies (and some raw fruits) along with exercising every day, will I lose weight? I have several beach trips coming up in the next few months and I want to lose at least the 15 pounds that I have gained since last summer. Has anyone tried doing this to lose weight and will it work? The reason I have thought about doing it is I have heard about people doing the juicing diet; juicing raw veggies and fruits and they lost a ton of weight but I know some people who got sick from drinking them. Also will it be healthy to eat only raw veggies and fruit, I know they alone are healthy but its not technically a "well balanced" meal plan.
