Unless you have a deficiency, nothing is going to have a massive huge impact.

Different things help different people, and in different contexts.

I take a fair bit of high eha/dpa fish oil. I am currently taking a moderate dose of vitamin C as well.

I'm finding the anti-inflammatory/anti-oxidants are helping me with muscle gains, but I'm a hard gainer (probably due to high cortisol). I suspect someone without that issue wouldn't notice.

Fish oil has a small but noticeable impact on my son's behavior.

My wife has seen significant energy and skin improvements from maca + C + E. Her hormones were probably a little unstable though, and they help.

Its actually a root vegetable, but you can get it in powder/capsule form. It seems to provide hormonal support. Its often marketed either to help with energy or sex drive. I haven't (sadly) seen evidence of the latter, though I think it tends to increase lubrication and, for males, volume.

stress hormone. Does bad stuff to your body, its kind of like your body is trying to always be primed to run or fight, which doesn't let it rest, heal and build tissue optimally.

Fish oils and multivitamins help a lot. If you're looking to tone down as well, get some protein to help muscle repairs, which in turn will increase your metabolism. As for results, its all in the diet and amount of effort you put into working out. Remember this rule of thumb, its 40% workouts and 60% diet. Working out hard with a bad diet will not do much and vice versa.

I am a vegetarian and I take a liquid B Complex supplement daily. It gives me lots of energy, helps me think clearer, and keeps me in a happy mood. I love it!

My mom takes B-vitamin injections into the the thigh once a month. According to her, the effects are quite noticeable, quick, and last the whole month. I thought about trying the same myself.

I would ask your doctor about it. I think it's available upon prescription, and incredibly cheap. Like, <$1 per month, maybe?

For benefits, I'm not sure of all of them, but you can probably search wikipedia for benefits of B-vitamins.

But namely, B-vites are usually water soluble, so you pee them out. By injecting it into the muscle (not as painful as it sounds) your body keeps it in and absorbs it slowly.

Hey, you don't take that much, maybe 30-40 calories as a daly dose, at the most! And, as you say, it makes you feel already fed; your body KNOWS these are useful calories. It's not like alocohol or sugar that your body has difficulty in managing...

I'm a vitamin D type -- don't get enough from sunlight. I use to take D & E, but found that some vitamins can result in bad cross interactions with a mild medication I take.

Most supplements take at least 6 months to see results. But from what I know, vitamin E mainly helps to moisturise the skin and is not very cheap. But don't despair. I have friends who have very bad acne conditions too. They see doctor and their problem really clear up.
