What is the best flavor for a wedding cake?

I am getting married in a few months and I need to choose a flavor of cake. My fiancee said that I should choose because he doesn't want to, but I know that he might be bothered if I choose something he doesn't like. Should I choose Vanilla, Chocolate or a mixture of both and what color should the cake be?

Vanilla is better I think. It seems more universal than chocolate. In my family, the older generation prefer vanilla.
