I'm no doctor, but it sounds like a pretty bad calf strain to me. Try to stay off your feet as much as you can and keep them elevated. Apply ice for 10 minutes every hour while you are resting. Take some ibuprofen to help with the inflammation and pain. Look into getting bandages or a sleeve to create some compression. If there's any bruising it could be bad tear, in which case you should see your doctor and then a physiotherapist to get you on a strengthening and stretching program. Heel pads can take some strain off the calves by shortening them a little. They were worse when you woke up because we become dehydrated and tighten up during sleep. Do a lot of stretching before you get out of bed and start walking.

Sounds like a calf-strain worthy of sidelining you for at least a month. If you actively compete while injured you are only prolonging the injury while performing below your standards.
