How much weight have you lost already, while working with your trainer? Did you shed any lbs b4 you started with the trainer, if so how much? Since your working with a trainer, I assume it's mostly strength training, if that's so, muscle (solid) weighs more than fat (viscous/airy), so if u've been doing serious lifting with heavy weights, that's more than likely the reason your not seeing the results, on the scale that is...look @ an older pic of yourself & compare it. If an older pic isn't available start measuring..neck, arms, chest, waist, hips, thighs & so on... if you haven't spoken 2 your trainer do so...he should be explaining the exact thing I said but more biology, physics & more in depth.
Ps
A person on a normal consistent diet should lose 2-3lbs per week. Just because you cut carbohydrates doesn't mean that's the be all, end all. Have your trainer do a bmi, body fat analysis, & calorie calculator. You can even do the bmi & calorie analysis on your own. Take the weight you should be/want 2 be & subtract it from the weight you are. Now use the calorie calculator (also on the web), it should show you how to calorie count 4 maintaining your weight & losing weight. Take the weight you want to b & find it on the calorie counter site...decrease your caloric intake to the corresponding weight you want to b.

Did you ask your trainer? He's responsible for your weightloss and getting fit so he should tell you how things should go, since that is his job and he is trained to do so.
Its been 3 weeks since you started? You have hit a weight plateau. Tell your trainer that and he should know what to do.
If its still not working, then you might wanna step it up a notch.
Take my advice, I'm an ex-Marine and I'm one of the few who could ever achieve a perfect PFT.
(20 pull ups, 100 crunches in 2 minutes, and an under 18 min 3 mile run. and I weigh 180 lbs.)
If you want to break that plateau, then you have to push your body beyond your limits. Before marine basic training, I used to alternate days when I went to go workout for 4-5 hours or workout twice a day.
remember this quote "Rise and fall until lambs become lions"
if you are working out a lot you are replacing fat with muscles so I would say base it off your looks. Take a picture couple and compare it next month to see if you have improved your build.
