What is your honest opinion of Subway Employees? Eat Fresh.

There are lots of black people at McDonald's, nobody really complains about them if they are being rude or unprofessional. Many corner Gyros shops, Taco Bell, or other fast food restaurants have Hispanic workers, no one really complains if they are talking loudly in Spanish, in addition, some of these Gyros shop, lots of Hispanic people don't wear gloves when making food, they are sweating a lot due to the heavy heat in the kitchen with the frying machines. No one really complains. Subway is a bit different, at Subway, you pay at the end, and the food is made in front of you, and everyone at Subway is required to wear gloves because everything is so up front. Compared to other restaurants, what is your HONEST OPINION of Subway and the employees? Consider also ethnicity, what race are the majority of the employees at the Subway in your local town. Also, I'm not saying that Hispanic people or Black people are rude or unprofessional, I've just noticed that there were times when I'm at Mcdonalds or Wendys and I've seen rude workers, and customers act like they don't even care. I've been to Subway though, and I've seen customers get made at Subway workers. Just my experience. I've also noticed trends at businesses. For instance, Subways, Arbys, Abercrombie, Banana Republic all usually have more majority of a particular race working there

I've seen all races working at subway. I don't think subway is a race specific employer. I've seen an equal number of whites and blacks as well as east Indians there. The subway near the mall has more white people and the subway near my house used to have a mix of Indians and blacks, now just blacks and the occasional white.

subway as a fast food restaurant tends to have higher standards,I base that on the fact you actually watch them prepare the food. Most of the workers seem to be late teens to mid to early 20s trying to make extra money. I used to work at McDonalds in high school and that is more low standards, more uneducated negative people work here as well as high school kids at their first job.this is due to their low standards and willingness to hire anyone. You can complain about mcd's employee behavior all day, no one will care because of the high turnover rate and most people just don't give a F*** there.you don't go to fast food for world class service lol

People probably get mad at Subway more often because there is more prolonged interaction with the employee. When an employe is in the kitchen or taking your order off of a menu, there isn't as much interaction. I don't think it has anything to do with race.

I've seen a rainbow of colors. My impression is most are franchises, so its not uncommon here to see a bunch of people from the owners ethnic group, but next subway, new group.

I honestly haven't had any particular experience with subway workers that stood out.

Since you brought up the topic of racial demographics represented in the work forces of various fast food chains, here are some phenomena that I have noticed.

All purely anecdotal, I will admit. On the (infrequent) occasions that I get fast good, I notice that at the local Taco Bells ... No Hispanics, mostly black employees, no Spanish speakers. OK, not necessarily remarkable. But go across the street to Wendy's? EVERYBODY is a native Spanish speaker and only one or two can converse in English.

Where I live the majority of people who work at Subway are African American, yeah it's eat fresh.

Everything looks sanitary and taste awesome.

I've only had a problem with one lady at Subway but everyone else is so nice.

In fact, I went to subway a few weeks ago at a hospital and the woman was so friendly :)
