I started swimming when I was like 8 and did it until I was 18. Was great, I want my children to do sport from an early age on too
only swim occasionaly now. I also lift weight to stay in shape.
You can't gain height. Although from what I understand if you do competetive sport early on your body produces hormones that change your bodystructure and will make you grow broader and taller. If you entered you age correctly though that won't help you any.
Starting from zero, with no expierence at all is very difficult if not dangerous. Particulary if you lift heavy weights you want to be careful. Get some guidiance there.

Honestly the best way to learn how to lift weights and or workout is to go to a trainer that is experienced. I started working out when I was 14 for the Highschool football team. Everyone isn't good at the begging but I learned from the best. I started off benching like 125-145 squating 100 senior year I went to 250 on bench and 200 for squat now I squat 250 bench like 275ish. No workouts that can help you grow maybe yoga just stretch and make sure you break up the lactic acid after you workout by jogging for leg workouts and getting a roller.
I started playing softball when I was 5 and played team sports on school teams through high school and then rec leagues until I was 25 or so. Now, I do yoga, walk/jog, do other individual exercises, etc.
My boyfriend does this cool plyometrics routine that he found on YouTube. All you need is your own body weight and a bath towel. I don't know if you can get YouTube where you live, though.
I don't think any exercises can help you gain height. I joined a swim team when I was 8 and was on it till I was 16. Does that count as working out? We had two hour practices every day. Now I'm 19 and haven't swam competitively for three years. I do sit ups, crunches, ab twists, push ups, planks, and I jog every other day. That's my exercise. It's not very intense, but it does its job.

I started lifting when I was 16. I read men's health and took some exercises from there, also I had my brother teach me some and I got an app with a bunch of exercises in it. 6 months or so later my max bench went up by like 70 lbs. I suggest menshealth.com.
I was involved in sports since I was 5 years old and I started lifting weights around 12 or 13 years old.
You can't gain height. Started when I was 15 and was on and off. Learned from my friends and then started doing independent research for exercises. Check out weight lifting for dummies. Hit the gym.
