Is plastic surgery worth it or no?

I've always hated my nose, it's really not attractive from the side, and it's a little crooked from the front view. But I'm scared something might go wrong, and it is a lot of money. What's your opinion?

I don't see anything wrong with plastic surgery in cases where accidents were involved (car crash etc) ,deformities , health purposes or cases where the individual develops serious depression or considers suicide because of their unhappiness with their appearance. These are all serious circumstances that I can understand... but with that said cases where you are just simply unhappy about say your nose or mouth but can manage to still live life and deal with it without contemplating suicide or shutting yourself out from the world I'd say it's unnecessary and not needed. It should be something that stands in the way of you living a normal life otherwise it's quite pointless cause there will always be something that you will find fault with. You may think fixing your nose will be the end of your problems but most likely it won't and you'll just pick something else and new to fix after getting a nose job. It's people who are in extreme cases who need it to live a normal and relatively happy life.

My opinion is that plastic surgery is expensive, risky on some level, and you are beautiful as is.

I've always hated my own nose. I even thought about plastic surgery as a kid. I still don't like my nose, but I'll keep it. My nose makes me look like me and I don't want to pay money to change that.

If you really, really can't come to terms with your features, then it's how you feel and I'd say then you could consider surgery. But only as a verycarefully thought last resort. Like I said, you are beautiful the way you are, and I'd trade noses with you if I ever chose to change mine.

If you would never even mention anything about your nose I wouldn't notice anything in the first place... actually I still don't notice anything there though...

You see - if you got a spare of few thousands of bucks - go on, probably it will make YOU feel better in the end.

If you don't (which is the most likely case) then leave it be, you don't need a surgery, you look alright.

No worthwhile guy is going to get upset because your nose isn't 'perfect. It's never worth the money, and so often it turns out to have terrible long term side effects.

I mean, unless we're talking about severe facial injuries or some sort of birth defect, when you don't have much choice except to go that route.

Hey if you really think it's something that will make you happier in general, f*** it, why not.

If however, once you've done it, you're just going to be insecure about another light defect you percieve in your body then I think you're better off working on your self confidence. Choice is yours, but be sure you're aware of all the risks and consequences both negative and positive, and how you're going to handle it, how people will handle it etc...

Have you researched botched nose job percentages? Would you be able to come up with the money needed? If I were to have a nose job I'd really look into getting a surgeon that seemed really good. I think if I really hated my nose and it wasn't just a form an insecurity I would consider changing it.

I did my nose job and its one of the best things I ever did, if you have the money and it bothers you I don't see reason why not, I feel way prettier and people have no idea that I did, but it was a very sublte change and I had a good surgeon...my nose had a but of a big tip when I smiled like italian nose nothing mayor but I look more feminine with a smaller one :) so my point of view is, if you think its a big deal and you can DO IT

well it was like 8000 dollars but my parents could afford it, the recovery was extremely good I didn't even got the 'purple' face I only felt sore the first night and then it was fine just had that pig nose for a month lol and didn't left home this period just vanity but I could...

gross. Plastic surgery is a no no. No matter the circumstances, learn to love yourself. Period. There's nothing more attractive than self confidence.

Procedures can result in amazing changes, but not every can be a candidate for them. The surgeon you consult should tell you what procedures will work best. Unfortunately mine told me divine intervention.

i like your nose. it makes you more distinct. considering the risks of surgery and the amount of money it costs-it's not worth it unless what you want to get done is ruining your life.

I want plastic surgery but would probably never go through with it. I would be scared of complications and sometimes the end result is not what was expected. It's can also be costly. But if there's something that would make you happier, do it. Problem is a lot of times people are still insecure after they get plastic surgery. I would go and get a consultation and spend a long time thinking about it.

And by the way, as an outside opinion, I think your nose is perfectly fine

In my opinion, yes. That's not cause I think you need one, but I think a nose is something that can really make or break a face in general...

noses are the worst thing to get done with plastic surgery, they almost always come out looking completely freakish and fake, plus there's nothing wrong with yours in the first place.
