The best answer is to eat the sweets you want in MODERATION! With that, keep yourself active, eat healthy foods, drink lots of water and continue making good love with your lucky man.

I used to eat an entire chocolate cake I would bake in three days: breakfast, lunch and late snack. Now I eat a slice about every two days and share with friends. Why am I overweight now? Because eight year of trucking does that to a man, not because of sweets.

Substitute ANY fruit (fresh or frozen) for candies/pastries/etc, and make sure you eat enough cals throughout the day. I notice that is why I get most of my cravings; not eating enough at dinner.

If you MUST have a sweet, eat one serving of non-premium ice cream (so no Ben&Jerry's! lol).

Ice cream has calcium, and when non-premium, has moderate fat and sugar (sugar is the weight problem culprit imo, not fat)...so it won't wreck your dietary habits for the day if you eat the occassional serving.

When you get a craving, do something else. Cravings only last an average of a couple minutes.

Also, try to reason with yourself that you don't "need" it, you just want it. You will live without it m'dear.

You can handle it one of two ways, you can have one day a week where you really indulge or you can have a low calorie small sweet every night.

I just chew some gum, or get some fruit. Some fruit can be quite sweet ^^

Eat citrus fruits - oranges, grapefruits, lemons.. but technically that's 'cheating', 'coz they contain fructose - "the fruit sugar" but unlike from everything what's manufactured they're not there in megadoses thus they won't rot your teeth and won't add anything to your belly while sating your cravings.

Pick out a a picture of yourself at your best, or a picture of what you'd like to look like, in a place where you can easily look at it when you're having these cravings. Maybe on your cell phone, and hanging next to the refrigerator.
