Question about pain in tooth.

I have slight pain when I touch one tooth at the bottom of my mouth. I am 21 and have had braces since July.

The tooth in question was one that was overlapping and now in is straight. My tooth at the front is a tad deformed which creates a tiny gap at the bottom of my front teeth but the top of the two teeth connect. When I push the tooth it hurts a bit but the others feel fine.

I was instructed to put rubber bands (provided by orthodontist) about a week or so ago. I have 2 cavities (discovered last week but in a different area)

Is this tooth pain normal or should I be concerned?

Call your dentist for an appointment. I would be concerned, but not TOO much. Worrying can cause the amount of pain to increase, so keep calm. Even if it turns out to be nothing, at least you went and got it checked out. Doctors never mind that, they like the people who get checked out when they have stuff like this. I would make an appointment very soon, because that sounds extremely uncomfortable! Best of luck!

I thought pain related to braces/retainers was normal due to the stress it puts on the root of the tooth.

play it safe and see your dentist. Don't you have regular apointments anyway if you have braces?

You should be concerned. Even the slightest pain in the body can be deadly if left unattended.

You should go to a dentist.
