I recently got braces on (in July) my bottom tooth in the middle, the gum has receded to look like a V (the bottom of the tooth). Its just under that one tooth. I have noticed that some of the teeth are yellow a bit. Is this normal too? I brush but don't floss as my teeth are too close and its difficult especially with braces. Another area was red and hurt a few weeks ago but I brushed and it went away.
Do braces cause some receeding in gums? Will the orthodontist be able to tell me? I have an appointment on Wednesday but I am very concerned as I don't want to lose the tooth.
Im worried I will lose the tooth and the internet hasn't really helped. What could it be?
They don't bleed. It doesn't hurt and there is no pain when drinking or eating. It is annoying because I am thinking about it and I'm worried. What can cause the "V" and can I reverse it? I just noticed it at the beginning of the week.
