So I've been in no contact with my ex for about two months. I'm not over him but I have the resolute to stay in NC. Anyone else doing this too?

Its true to some extent depending on what you class as getting over someone.

In the sense that no contact allows your feeling diminish and fade, yes it is true. However, feelings never go away entirely and they will come back in one form or another if you ever run into that person. You had reason to like them once, you'll have reason to like them again.

Now with that said, for my experience the best method of getting over someone to the fullest extent is no -or lesser- contact combined with finding someone else whom you will develop feelings for. Some people are too quick to call this a rebound without thinking, a rebound is often spurred on by the desire to have someone to fill a hole, not the aim to find someone to new.

Maybe you will never totally 'get over' it. No contact just makes it easier to let go of the pain more quickly and move on with your life. But only do this if you're certain you never want to try again with him.

It's been over 6 months after the break up and 2 months of NC. I'm pretty much over him but I think about him from time to time but not because I have feelings for him though. I just wish him the best in life.

No contact leads to the death of anything ever happening again. Sure, you can have torn emotions and not contact someone. If you actually still want the person though, no contact is a mistake.

yeah I've been through this , is a girl I know well , she's sort of my ex , haven't talked to her for a few months guess she or me is doing the no contact thing , so its rather common for ex's to just disappear and not want to be heard from
