Is he curious/'interested' in getting to know me?

So there is this guy at work who I think is really cute. I can't really tell if he finds me 'interesting' or not so if you could just help me out here. Well we work at the same firm but in different departments. Three times when he meets in for work (I only see him on Fridays) he puts his stuff at a table close to mine but then he's had to move to a different table the other end of the room because his sup told him to. One time he said to me something like "well I didn't get to sit next to you".

One time I saw he was going into the kitchen so I thought 'what the heck' and went in to get a coffee refill. He just casually chatted me asking if there was a lot to do and we just said a few things back and forth.

Do you think he is somewhat interested in talking to me? and how should I approach him. We haven't been introduced or anything like that and I actually don't even know his name.
