Can bad urinary infection healed with strong antibiotics affect your next period?

Anonymous
I had a bad urinary infection last month, doctor prescribed me some strong antibiotics which I had to take for 10 days and it helped me to heal completely. I got the urinary infection the day when I should start my period last month and it was late for 10 days (I got it a day or two after I started taking the medication). I wasn't too worried about it then, because it was all messed up (blood in urine, painful peeing, strong abdominal pain...). But the problem is I should've gotten my period almost 2 weeks ago and still no sign of it, which worried me a bit. I used to have irregular periods, but that sorted out in the last few years so my periods were pretty much on time before all this happened. Is it possible that the urinary infection has something to do with my late period?

The other problem is that I'm visiting my long-distance boyfriend next week and I haven't seen him for 2 months now, so I really wouldn't want to be on my period then. I googled some advices online about how to shorten your current period and it seems that drinking fresh lemon juice helps the period go away faster. Do you girls have any experiences with this? Or any other advices that worked for you or someone you know?
