Urgent help needed with coughing!?

I've had this very bad cough since Monday, and it's getting worse everytime, i am constantly coughing, i barely sleep, and everytime i cough it's for a really long time and i start choking because i can't breathe, my chest feels heavy and i have difficulty breathing, do you know anything i can do to make it go away? It really doesn't stop, i'm desperate, thanks in advance!

Do you have a fever or anything else going on? Obviously try some over the counter cough syrup. Try a humidifier as the moist air is not as irritating as dry air. You might also try some nasal rinses such as Nedi pot saline rinse. It sounds weird but rinsing out your nasal passages really helps the sinuses and a cough. Ask the pharmacist to show you how to do it. It is very inexpensive. If you are coughing up green stuff or have a fever, go see a doctor as it may be bronchitis or something that is bacterial which can be treated.

You might have sore throat infection.
As for now to stop cough, use codeine syrup and an anti allergic drug like Antihistamine (Chlorpheniramine maleate) or bronchodilator.

The thing is i'm already taking meds for a really strong back pain, so i don't know if i can take something else, i don't want an overdose lol, anyway i don't have any of that, and i can't go to the doctors until my father comes back from work since i don't drive

Then buy a cough syrup from a near by medical store.
those are usually Over The Counter drugs.
So you won't need any prescription.
And don't sleep with a fan/Air conditioner on. :)

Have you been to the doctor? Well if you haven't, you better go see one asap. It sounds serious. But for the mean time, make a ginger tea. It will help you feel calmer and it is good for your throat. Take vitamin c as well and eat fruits.

Well you can take a cab. I don't drive either. But if you really can't then just rest and drink the ginger tea. It helps.

It sounds like you might have bronchitis which can get very serious. If you don't have insurance, go to an urgent care center.

If it usually only happens when you're sleeping it might be due to dust mite allergies. Still need to see a doc though - if it's that you'd need a puffer.
