Gym Rats on GAG, What's the best advice you could give me?
Any advice on how I could get back into it?
Start with something easy such as jogging, 2-3 times per week, then progress to running. As you lose a bit of weight and you get your endurance going you can start doing squats/lunges if you like a great derriere, start doing crunches and sit-ups to tone your tummy, you can even buy a pair of dumbbells to tone up the arms. You do not need a gym membership for any of these and there are a bunch of YouTube vids that will help you tone whatever body part you desire from the comfort of your own home as you watch the GAG Live Feed ticker.
Learn from the greats the true champions of body building from the golden age Larry Scott, Dorian Yates, Robby Roberson etc . Go to websites were we gym rats go learn then build a training regimen that centers around what you need then get off your butt and do it.
Just make yourself go and start up again. If you need help or motivation maybe look into a personal trainer who can better help you meet your goals. They would also know more specifically you need for your body.

No need to slam back into it. Do enough to make your workout worthwhile, but your first session or two should be more about getting beyond the initial soreness/tightness rather than working toward a goal. If you are sore before going into another workout, you'll just waste that one as well. Shock your muscles enough to where they intentionally get a bit sore for a day or so, and possibly an extra day or two if you happen to get DOMS.
Do something fun for the first few workouts then figure out what things you'd like to specifically focus on. People always say the first 30 days are the toughest. After that, you'll feel horrible if you don't go.
Full body workouts. Or upper lower split for first two weeks, Lift em light and normal reps so your muscles are opened enough then switch back to what your workout schedule normally is. You cutting or bulking?
Get back to it, make friends in the gym or meet up with some previous friends. This may keep you coming back. Or you can just work out then go home, you'll like the feeling.
Going to the gym is boring. Go do a martial art or dance, play tennis, or any other fun activity.
excercise in the morning; try to jog at least 20 minutes everyday. Drink lots of water especially before big meals and try to divide your meals up into 5 each day instead of 3 to boost metabolism.
Well, whatever you have done 3 months ago don't do as much and as hard. Just work your way back up.
