Do people actually have dreams with a simple storyline?

When someone says "I had a dream we got married," or "I had a dream I was late to class," was that really what the dream was about? Or was that just something that happened in the dream?

Sure, I've had dreams where I've gotten married, but in that same dream I also get murdered, inherit a herd of invisible pigs, an ancient curse must be broken, I can write and read fluently in an alien language, and there is a cat puppet involved somehow as well—probably betrays humanity and I have to fight it to the death.

I've never had a simple dream in my life. But is this actually less common? When most people dream about something, do they really have a fairly simple dream focused mostly around one main concept?

my dreams are true though it's not just a dream... my level of sureness vary though especially if it's a symbol but if it's people and codes my certainty gets higher


i've been checkinh my dreams and the people actors send by my soulmate irl and it's right on point

i feel like i can attract other men except my soulmate. that's how it feels to me.

i kbow i'm fat and ugly right now but i had a dream it's just a code character so it's not that sure my level of certainty is not high and my dream is tellinh me my soulmate's best friend is secretly following me. the thing about my soulmate i have stronh gut feel that i can also read his mond.


today i wore an aviator lookinh sunglasses i bet he doesn't like it. this is not from my dream but just gut feel but i strongly feel he doesn't like it. i bet he has another issue of my appearance

I think people just cut out a lot of the things and stick to the story line.

My dreams are super vivid after my B12 shots. They're crazy too, but some are as simple as like: went out to dinner with my boyfriend and his siblings, I got a ride from someone else, got to the restaurant and realized that we forgot to pick up my boyfriend so had to go back to get him and he was pissed off.

Or then it's like I fall out of a blimp into a super hero land. Have two guns in my hands and I run into a supermarket where I'm being chased by two bad guys through the isles of my hometown supermarket.

I’ve had some that play out like movies.

like one a road I was on was lined with ruined and burning buildings. Looking up the sky was cloudy. With flashes of light and all over. Suddenly an F35 went screaming by overhead and blew up in a blinding flash of light. As an alien craft flew by after it. As I looked up again. A battle raging was raging. Fighter jets were dog fighting with alien craft firing guns and launching missiles.

jets were smote and dropping like flies all around. I hid in a pile of rubble, behind a smoldering tank, knowing Earth was losing. Watching the battle overhead. I looked down the road seeing tanks approaching and rockets launching from ground based vehicles. Alien craft flew low and fast to their position. Then I woke up.

Anyways, I do have dreams that are short stories. Some that are quests to accomplish something. the most common being the quest to find a bathroom. Before waking and realizing I need to pee.

Probably no, but I think it's more on the lines of them not remembering the details.

On a side note, some people don't even remember their dreams and use it as a convo starter.

I once read that our dreams are 3 seconds long or less. Mine are usually either pretty simple or they are too complex to explain all the details so I'll just get to the point if I'm telling someone what I dreamed about.

I once dreamed i was on vacation in a desert town and a dead men was found in one of the dunes wearing a black divers suit complete with air tank and breathing gear and i was the one starting the investigation.

When I remember them, it's couple things with a non descript woman. Along with bizarre situations throughout. We'll do taxes and next thing we're at a casino.
