Are stocking presents just as important as regular presents under the tree?

It was fun as a kid. We always got a tangerine, some mixed nuts in the shells, and a variety of Christmas candies, including candy canes. Sometimes there were small, inexpensive toys.

Here in germany we don't have this stocking tradition at all. Here we gift presents only by laying them under the tree (or at another location).

Yes. In my house it’s a serious tradition that takes no prisoners. If you get junk father Christmas screwed up.
