Do you believe people who only post on social media photos of their holiday trips are show offs?

and make those photos viral? I mean people who that throughout the year do not post photos of anything, and then comes December and New Year and they are traveling to other countries and that is the only time they post many photos on social media and make them viral. Do they like to flaunt or show off to tell people something like "I can afford a trip, see me where I am now, I have money to take trips" Why they do it, is it even necessary? I wonder.

I see it as a bit of showing off beause they are doing it on social media to get "LIKES". If they do not do it for LIKES, they could simply take the photos and send them to the people (family or friends) directly through a text messaging app the in a private way (Whatassp, Telegram etc ) not through a public social media site. That is how I do it. I just sent them directly to the person or the family never on social media.

A friend of mine is like that. He barely post things on his FB account during the year, then each year he travels with his wife mostly to Europe to spend the holidays and only then he post photos here of there of him of nice places in the countries he is visiting. This eyar was no difference. He says "is not fun to spend the holidays in the country, for him do it in another country is much better, the environment is different, it is prettier" I mean good for him, but not everyone can afford to take trips often like him and you can have fun anywhere you are not only overseas but in your own country or city you can also have fun. For example he is in Europe now and posted photos, then I asked him, " Spending the holidays in NY again?" and he replied me: " No, im in Spain now, weeks ago I married by church in France"

First, I mean I did not even know he got married in France by church and second, him mentioning me he got married in France, sounded more like a show offor flaunting comment, like saying "I got married in France how fancy could that be" and I never even ask anything about him being in another country much less never knew he went to France to get married.

I post things on instagram but only private followers can see and it’s mostly friends or family and it’s mostly of places I think are nice to see in the USA, I haven’t been overseas in years

No. It's easier, faster, and cheaper than sending out Christmas cards or even individually texting out pictures to every family member and family friend.
