When you're playing Christmas Music around the house, where does it come from?
All of the above. I sing, play guitar, put on Nat King Cole and Cliff Richard discs, records, streaming, whatever medium I can access easily.
As long as this is in the mix somewhere I'm cool...
we don't really play Christmas music like that... lol
the tradition in our family is... to keep the religious part, religious and more serious, genuine to the sentiment of it...
and then we switch it, to a family party... and then we don't go with the heavily marketed Christmas music, but other "regular" party music, lol
@Cubus that's not how I meant it... lol
what I meant is that... in Catholic tradition, there's a bit more of actual tradition into Christmas, so my grandmas and great-grandmas were more like that and we went with that first, and later on the night...
more party and celebration and gifts and all that... which in our case does not include the very Christmassy-marketing music
NO MARIAH CAREY, especially... lol
I don't have that much Christmas music on CD's. Sometimes they play certain songs so much on the radio, that you actually get sick of them.
probably due to requests, people missed the first ten times and didn't hear it yet.
@strateguy632 Not when they play it every 10 minutes like Taylor Swift. It's funny when others already did the song before them too, and better.

I sing in my church choir and most of the things we sing at Christmas are available in YT videos, so I watch/listen to those so I can practice at home.
I have a CD changer thatvinliad up. I play the John Fahey Christmas album on You Tube.
Why would I torture myself with Christmas music?
YouTube. Often with a fireplace burning or Currier and Ives scene.
We always play Christmas cds when we're decorating the house
Cds or spotify
But i do have Bill Haley and the Comets on vinyl
Generally from FLAC files on one of my computers
All over really, but mostly streaming and radio.
