It's 18 hours past Christmas!! WHY are your Christmas decorations and lights still up? Don't you know the Christmas police will arrest you?

Nearly everyone around here has shut off their Christmas lights, already!! There's only 4 houses around me, including mine, that still has them on and at least 60% of the people on the hill behind me have them shut off!! I'll bet nearly all of them are religious people, too! I'm NOT the LEAST bit religious but, I'm keeping mine on `til at least the end of the first week of Jan.!! At least we know who all the plastic, soulless people are!! Tomorrow's garbage day! I'll bet about half the people around here will have their trees out for garbage tomorrow!! Y'all should be ASHAMED of yourselves!! OBVIOUSLY, Christmas means NOTHING to you!! Nothing but money and posturing!!

You're gonna toss a grenade in my place. We keep our Christmas tree up all year round 😂 We do take all the other decorations down, but the whole family knows we're the only ones that do this and they'd find it strange to not see it 😂

Well, the past 3 years, I've had the tree up all year round, too but, up until the lights burned outlast year, I'd only turn them on during Christmas (about 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after). But, the only reason it stays up all year is because I no longer have any place else to put it. It used to go in the back cellar but, my aunt forced me to load that up with the shit in the garage so, now, I can't even step into the back cellar, anymore!! There's only a narrow path to it across the front cellar.

On another note, minimalist trees are becoming slightly more popular over the years

I'm not into that shit. That's way too soon. In the first place, you get sick of it before Christmas even gets here. Secondly, if you've got a real tree, it'll be dead before Christmas gets here.
We never put ours up before the middle of Dec. and take it down about 2 weeks into the new year.
