who cares its all understood and I ain't perfect nope they are pretty dark not extremely dark but dark and GAG is the only place I've heard black girls are thpough as unattractive i know a lot of guys who love black girls
In comparison to white people Beyoncé, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj are much darker. So, I can see why he is considering them "dark skinned". Light skin is a perception and a view.
In the African-American community Beyoncé, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj are more towards the medium-lighter tones.
MY point is that with the exception of nicky they are all hot again except minaj she fugly
Everyone you've mentioned and consider dark skinned even though they aren't are either light skinned or mixed, and no where did I say anything about white girls in my myTake.
I just had to laugh to myself at who you listed. It's a bit of a problem in the black community and otherwise that the only women of our race who are portrayed as beautiful tend to be those light skinned black girls whether they are bi-racial or just light skinned blacks. Ask most people to name the sexiest black celebrities you can think of, and you probably aren't going to name or know anyone darker then they are. We all associate what is beautiful by what we are essentially constantly exposed to.. hence your naming of Beyonce, Niki, etc. but if darker skinned people were put in rotation, seen more in movies, music, television, I think naturally people would start to also realize their beauty potential.

If a white person done this we'd be considered racist. Everyone is beautiful so making up these threads the people that think like you are the one's with issues.
The reason why they brought it up is because dark skinned people/women ARE usually seen as uglier and less desirable. If a white person did it, it wouldn't be racist, it just wouldn't make sense. Most models, actresses, popular female singers, are white and are seen as the most sexy and gorgeous
Why is it that you have to bring your "white tears" into an article aimed to uplift dark skinned women? This is about uplifting darker women, not your so called white people problems. But I guess it is easy to say for someone who didn't grow up experiencing these issues. If it wasn't an issue some women go through on a daily basis, then their wouldn't be so many threads

Lol at "everyone is beautiful". Is that the general consensus you got from these opinion comments? I'm reading a lot of comments stating the opposite, that dark skin in particular is unattractive. What did the OP say that leads you to believe her thinking is problematic? Clearly this thread was made to uplift darker toned women. Do you know how many little dark skinned girls have a complex about their skin color? Of course not, because you're too worried about uplifting people who are already on a pedestal. What's wrong with telling dark skinned girls they are beautiful and to be content with who they are when society doesn't tell them so very often?

Some truly are. I remember one girl on here who, for a time, posted about it every single day. She didn't want to believe that it was, in fact, the plain-as-day chip she carried on her shoulder and *not* the color of her skin which made her unattractive.
Exactly everybody is like: "oh I'm dark skinned and I'm influenced by European society to change myself. I'm so weak that I will bend to their will. Pity me." This shit doesn't even exist! I'm tired of everyone pulling the race card! The same amount of people don't like whites either so quit your bitching people! I wish I could have a race pity party thrown for me every time I was sad, and I wish that I could blame my unattractivness on race (not that I'm unattractive)

I feel better looking at black women porn, I don't like the lack of curves the majority of white women have and most of them are plastic cause after white women has kid it like watching their chess without boobs when they don't wear bra and their tail bones which is named as the " coccyx " stick out when getting fuck in their ass. Most black men I know and black girls they prefer black skin partner. I'm prejudice not racist. My daughter is biracial mostly saying black with light skin tone.

Dark skinned are universally unattractive to men and some women also. It's more of a biological thing than media or society. Of course their are always exceptions.
You'd be surprised at how much the media influences people.

Do some research before you guys comment. Look around you. The fact that the asker felt like posting this question is self evident of the fact.

Yes, she's part African American, but for our race she's considered very light skinned. Lupita Nyong is a very good example though.
