The world populated by men spreading their sperm or ya know populating the earth. Men were able to be independent while women were dependent on the man. It was easier for a man to make his way around. Monogamy helps with knowing who your kids are and supporting that family. I suppose marriage came upon on that.
Perhaps. Doesn't make it make any more sense. If our only concern in life is reproducing, then we're no different or better than any other mindless animal like dogs or salmon or apes or horses or whatever. And that's crap.

And men not getting married or into relationships is about the kids too. Men are now aware that kids will surely be lost should relationships or marriages be broken. So men aren't marrying anymore and now thanks to metoo and change her mind later laws many aren't attempting to get into relationships anymore either. It's too dangerous for men.
