Is marriage only a desire of women or that is just a genre stereotype? Is marriage already obsolete? I think the concept of marriage is getting less respect each day, and people don't have that wish as they used to in the past. And having a family is getting different than the way it used to be. These days people can have children without necesarily been married or even have a partner.

I've been married and probably won't do it again.. as I believe in marriage and 2 people becoming joined together and all that comes with it. I'm ok with folks just shacking up and banging out kids too (within reaso)

I don't judge and I don't preech buy if I'm asked I'll say my piece and keep it moving. But I digress... it's interpreted differently so there will always be strong supporters and people who say wipe your ass with that marriage certificate. For those who think it's like having a boyfriend and all will be just as is... yeah... no! It's work, give and take, honesty, loyalty, understanding, compassion, humor, COMMUNICATION and most of all unwavering love.

Yes I want to get married one day. I want to have that certainty, give my vows to my husband, become a couple recognized by law, it's nice and bonding in my opinion, and probably the biggest step in a relationship. Some guys want marriage, it's not a gender thing

I generally have found that statement to be true especially with young women.

I find marriage has a higher purpose. Sure having a stable family is great, but its swearing an oath to God that you will always protect and take care of your woman no matter what.

I see marriage as more of a religious thing and I'm not religious, it almost feels pointless for myself, if I even find someone, because I've never been in a relationship before.

I understand that some people marry after being together for a while and having kids, etc, but thinking about it, its seems pointless, especially if they aren't religious, but who knows, maybe they feel incomplete about it, because marriage is generally a big deal.

No, not really. Seeing how marrige work for other people I'm honestly startimg to think humans aren't made for such a thing. I never seen a happy lasting marrige a day in my life.
I always think that I can only see myself getting married to the woman I'm with currently, besides that I wouldn't want to get married. I'm not afraid of commitment, but besides of all of what I just mentioned, I just don't like the idea of having to "legalize" my love for someone.
