My old pastor said girls should only marry when they are stable enough and do not need to get married, what are your thoughts?

In such society, the just cause to marry, is if it will cause suffering not to lust after each other, and to remain totally celibate. If, then, there is distinct metabolic need to engage in physical interaction of a non-platonic nature, it is recommended, then to marry. Such is the truly biblical standard. I feel that it would be unwise to get married to somebody until you've spent enough time with the person, truly gotten to know him as a person, and both of you feel that the relationship is stable enough.
