Depends when you guys started dating. If you started dating in highschool then its not crazy to wait 10 years because you're not usually getting married right after graduating or in college. People might want to be secure in their lives. first before committing. If he's in his mid 20s or late 20s then he may be settling. And some people just dont prioritize marriage and dont see it as necessary. It really depends.

Passion alone isn't going to necessarily carry a marriage. People want to be somewhat stable before making such a huge commitment. I agree if they are set and wait 10 years then they may just be waiting for someone better to come along but the highschool example is the only time when I can understand waiting that long.
