Seems like a good idea to me. Weddings often seem to bring out a romantic side to the women in the audience in my experience and a match between groomsman and bridesmaid makes for a very nice story if it works out. Maybe you can ask for her a dance with her at some point and talk to her then.
I'd take it easy though. Don't confess that you have a crush on her or anything dramatic and risky like that. Just talk to her and connect and make some small moves.
If you do it right and very easy, even if it doesn't work out, she should still be able to have a good time. Shouldn't have to pick the first option to go for it at the expense of the second (letting her have a good time). Have a good time together. It's usually a very decent (and above all else courteous) strategy if you can get a girl smiling and happy even if she rejects an offer to date.
Ask the bride and groom if they think you would make a good pair. They know yous better.
No, because I'm sure a better, more romantic opportunity to get with her will come up.
Nothing beats a wedding
