there will never ever be a "100% right fit" that is extremely unrealistic. maybe you need to minimize what you're looking for, a few very important things only. the rest don't really matter/can't really change. the person is their own person. there is no perfect person for you.

it's not "settling for someone who is good enough". it's loving that person for their flaws regardless. yes, they need to be loyal and loving. that's really only the few things you need. loyal, trusting, loving, unselfish. what exactly is on your list?

and what benefits of marriage are you looking for? just a ring? tax cuts? why do you want to marry? because you love that person so so much? that should be the only reason. gotta look at yourself too, and where you can improve, not just this other person.
