Polls: Marriage & Weddings

Both are pretty equal for me! The extravagant one is slightly more expensive but still doable for me! Everything else they both similarly permit.

The hotel allows the bride and a groom a complimentary night & breakfast stay-over accommodation, but the other one is more gorgeous and spacious, I think.

I'm asking for EITHER the perspective of where you'd prefer to marry OR which wedding you'd prefer to attend - I don't mind.

Please help!

If your SO's family (not your SO) told you that they would never accept you into their family or give you their blessing to marry if you did not join their religion, what would you do?

Guys often fall for the fake girl they show him till it comes out and the guy leaves. That or after 4 kids she leaves him.

Girls usually marry the fake guy and are stuck with them being hateful and abusive just because they can be.

I want to be proposed to at the beach. I'm only bringing this up because we talked again about marriage and he kind of pre-proposed a bit to me last night so I would guess we are pre-engaged. A phase between past the dating stage but not quite yet shopping for rings stage.

Anyhoo where would you want to be proposed to or where would you propose guys?

Every one says waiting till your married is the worst kind of sex so trying before you buy is important?

Is a fling during the bachelorette party important trying another before your stuck with one?

We waited till we got married and it was torture sometimes to wait.

Does he miss the dating feelings or is he not happy we got married and get to always be together?

My Dad passed fairly suddenly but they were not really close it hit me harder!

The white dress is meant to show purity! Something which very few brides have now.

Besides why should not our dresses be in a beautiful array of colors the guys suits get to be which ever color we choose for them.

Personally, I don’t care whether or not I receive one. But I do think it’s silly to expect it within a month, let alone two weeks! People work and are busy. If the woman is working and doing the housework, why is she expected to be the one to find the time?
I think three months is a good time frame.
I appreciate the gifts, but think it’s silly to expect thank yous. This tradition will die out with gen x. We already spent so much time, energy, and money on a wedding. (Weddings are really more for guests than anything) I find thank yous to be more of a nice surprise than anything. Like coming into work and there’s donuts because you’ve been working hard.

The guy that I’m in a relationship with since 2 years said that he won’t marry me till his parents approve of our marriage. When I heard this I feel too sad coz I left my home for 6 months once retaliating against my parents for this guy and that time this guy was saying me that his parents will easily accept me but that’s not true as he expected. I feel too bad when he said me “You should not feel you have invested a lot in me if things go wrong” when I asked him what’s “things go wrong” - he said it means breakup. My parents have accepted him. His is against due to intercaste.
