(1.) They're Affordable (but won't be for long!):
I bought my Camaro at 19 for $5900 and it already had a good bit of mods on it. Camaros have hit the bottom of their depreciation curves and anyone can afford one. The best Camaros to buy are my model: 1998-2002 Z/28 or SS Camaros. They'll run you anywhere from $5k in higher mileage, decent condition to $10k for lower mileage and heavily modded, great condition. However, they are some of the only cheap, RWD, legitimately fast cars left, and young enthusiasts are discovering them. Demand is increasing and thus so is price, so buy one now while they're still cheap and you'll be able to sale it in a couple years for the same you bought it for or more!
(2.) They're fast as Hell, and easy to make even faster.
Tired of having trouble passing people on the interstate? Well look no further! The Camaro comes equipped with the John Cena of engines, the LS1 5.7L V8. Packing around 340 HP and 350 lb*ft of torque, these engines will slam you in the back of your seat when you slam the pedal. 0-60mph (0-97 km/h) happens in just 5.0 seconds, a 1/4 mile (400m) from a dead stop in just 13.2 seconds, and a top speed of 162mph (260 km/h). Plus, with just some cheap boltons like an intake lid, long tube headers, catless y-pipe, and an exhaust you can can get 400 HP out of them with a tune. Those who go the cam route or nitrous are looking at nearly 450-500 HP! For under $10k this is a performance bargain!
(3.) They're surprisingly practical.
A Camaro is a 3-door coupe, 4 seat car with back seats that aren't entirely useless. There's child car seat locks behind the back seats and even an adult can fit back there. Need room for cargo though? No worries! The back seats fold down in half completely and the hatch opens up to reveal a surprising amount of room and a deep trunk. You have 13 cubic feet to play around with back there!
Plus, the cars are reliable with regular maintenance too. It's not uncommon to see a Camaro last over 300k miles on the original engine and trans.
Lastly, while if you have a lead foot you'll only get around 20 mpg, on the highway in 6th-gear it's easy for a Camaro to get 28-30mpg!
(4.) They sound like the gates of Hell opening up.
Other than being absolutely sexy looking, with smooth curves and an aggressive front end, Camaros also sound the part. Aftermarket exhausts range from mellow to drawing the attention of everyone within a half mile. All in all, there's no disputing this is the sound you want when you hit the pedal:

(5.) They're fun!
Rear Wheel Drive (RWD), 6-speed manual transmission, loud, fast, TARGA TOPS, V8, Smokey Burnouts, Super American...does it get any better than this?
Not only are they fun, but they're CHEAP and fun!
(6.) There's some surprising luxuries
Usually "muscle car" and "luxury" don't go in the same sentence together, but many Camaros have these features:
-Leather bucket seats
-Automatic Headlights and Foglights equipped
-Power windows, hatch, door locks and driver's seat
-Traction Control and ABS
-Front Airbags
-8 speaker Monsoon Sound System with Amp and wiring for rear 6 disc CD Changer
-Cruise Control
-2 cigarette lighters
-Anti-Theft system
-4 cupholders
-A/C and rear defrost.
-Steering wheel is adjustable and has buttons.
(7.) There's a huge aftermarket to personalize your Camaro for cheap.
Whether you want to go fast in a straight line, tear up canyon back roads, look fresh, or just want to personalize the aftermarket for these cars is huge. It also helps that there is a ton of information online on what mods to buy, best places to get them, and how to install them. Parts for these cars aren't expensive whether it's to repair or modify. There's something for everyone, like my white ball shifter.
(8.) They attract the opposite sex (both ways).
If you're a woman reading this, you're gonna make guys drool over you in a Camaro, nuff' said. I have never found this one girl sexier until I saw her driving one, and there are many girls that drive these like Jenna, who's rocking a sister car known as the Pontiac Trans Am:
And if you're a guy, Camaros are a perfect way to give yourself a little bit of a masculine bad boy image that women crave. I'm your average engineering student out of my Camaro but in my Camaro women wonder who's the guy driving that magnificent machine. I don't mean this in a way that it will get you laid, but that a Camaro is a car for those that dare to be different and women like that.
(10.) They're full of history:
The Camaro is a car that is full of history! For 50 years it has existed in glorious V8, RWD fashion. You're not buying just a car, you're buying something as purely American and historical as the Constitution itself. Camaros have always been for the guys and gals who know life is too short to drive slow and that being different from the crowd comes with rewards. As the Camaro enters its 6th-generation, let's all appreciate and take part of one of the most well known and fearsome nameplates on the planet.
