So I have been talking to this girl since mid december, and over this weekend she was going to florida(we live in new york) for the weekend so I was like bring me something back. would that be a good sign that I can ask her out?

Well, it's definitely a plus, but then again, she might just be that kind of person. She might have just thought about you when she saw it and got it thinking that you might like it. I once did this with a girl at my school. She's really into Harry Potter, I was down at Universal Studios at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, I remembered that her birthday was nearby so I got it for her. I didn't mean anything by that, I'm just that kind of person.

But If she just got it out of the blue, then that is definitely a plus. But I wouldn't base it as your soul evidence for asking her out. If you think that she will say yes then go for it. I would try asking her out on a sort of psuedo-date, like asking her to hang out with your other friends if she says yes then obviously she wants to be more in your life.

One thing you can do is tell her that you want her to come hang out with you and your friends then ask your friends not to show up then you will have walked in on a date. (I know it sounds sitcom-esque but my dad actually did this for my mom for their first date. He didn't tell her he had set it up until they were actually boyfriend & gf.) If she doesn't say no after almost everyone has said they can't make it, then you have a date.

What this would do is see if she would really mind going on a date with you, while still allowing you to stay in the friend zone if it should fail.

Come on I understand you don't want to get rejected but if you just do it I guarantee your chances will be so much better. Shell respect and be in war of your confidence so you better off just ending the flirting for a week telling her how you feel and just f***ing some sh*t up! Go for it!
