Why are some korean people so arrogant?

i don't want to stereotype but 9 out of 10 people I meet who are korean are arrogant and show off a lot or think they're better than everyone else. how are you guys brought up?

There's a group of Korean exchange students in my university, they are so rich and are acting exactly like what guoththraven said. They don't say hi or being friendly at all. Well that's fine for me but some of them are like look down on people who don't wear as nicely as them.

However when my sis went to a university in Korea, people there are totally the opposite of what I've seen here in my country. They're very easy-going, friendly and well-mannered. So I guess it's our different experience with different kind of people which has got nothing to do with ethnicity. ;)

not to stereotype either but I've seen a similar pattern. I know like 4 korean girls and they are all very rich and wear designer clothes and drive nice cars and they make fun of the people who can't afford everything they have. they also get really good grades and look down on people who don't.

I think some Chinese&South east Asians(Philippine,Taiwan) have inferiority complex to Korean.

Because Korea was poor than their country about 20years ago.

Other countries like U.S,Europe don't think Korean people are arrogant.

Korean just don't know how to hang out with other people. It's not their fault. Just culture diffrence.

Before you wrote down about Korean, you'd better study their culture and get self-esteem.

The majority of my friends this year were Korean Exchange students, so it's probably the one's you're interacting with.

The Korean-Americans I know seem perfectly fine. There is a ethnic group I'll use that line on, but it's not Koreans.

Anyone can be Arrogant, depends on there lifestyle, but for what I know, Korean Americans are Confidently social, The fobby one's, are not the approachy type, because it's just not something they are use to. "Cocky" I'm not so sure about that. O. o" I still don't know what you mean by "Show off" Verbally? Physically? you need to be more specific.
