Would you assume these were Speedway gas or merchandise purchases?

Over 400 points were received for each of the above-mentioned purchases made.

Speedway offers 10 base points per gallon of gas purchased and 20 base points per dollar spent on merchandise. Gas at the Speedway near you is well over $4.00 per gallon currently and has been for some time now.

On a gas purchase in which a car was filled up, over $40.00 was spent and a little over 100 points were earned for the purchase.

So with all that info provided, what would you think about these 2 purchases - were they gas or merchandise?
