Has a gift you have received ever inspired you to make something?

This year my lovely wife got me a soldering iron for my birthday, not just any iron either, a Pinecil programmable one. So it inspired me to design a case for it.

That is cool if you like that type of thing. My favourite gift out of everything I've ever been given was a bead set for making necklaces and bracelets. I don't think I ever used it cause it was too big and I like subtle and modest, but the colours and smell of the beads made me love the gift. I was 10 at the time. As an adult, my favourite gift is a sesame salad dinner for lunch. We have friends who are calorie conscious and they usually always make us a salad dish alongside their meat dishes when we visit their home.
