It's Never



"Goodbye", she says as she hangs up the phone.


"Goodbye", they say as they part their ways.


"Goodbye", he says only to see you tomorrow.


Today is not goodbye to me.


My heart knows that I will see you soon.


"Goodbye" is final, it marks the end.


We are destined to lay our eyes on eachother again.


"See you later", I say as I whisper in his ear.


"See you later" he replies.


Our paths will cross, indeed they may.


As we awake tomorrow, to see another day.
