This shit is common sense. Was a take really necessary? Guess where labels come from? Sterotypes which are formed when a majority of people or things can be grouped into one catagory. This whole take gave me no information at all.

Ummm, that's not what I said.
Example - if someone calls me a slut , based on the way I dress. How accurate is that? Why should I let that define me? There's nothing I can do about them calling me those names but what I can do is be the best version of myself and represent myself according to what I know is true about me.
Example - Your whole approach would be labeled a jerk and a jackass.
Since your behavior shows nothing other than that , you are true according to your label

I completely agree that you shouldn't let a label *define* you. That that is not *all* you are. But it is part of who you are. I didn't read the whole Take. I just saw the pictures that were implying that it was wrong to categorize people as "black" or "gay", when that's what they are. As you said, the strings of negative implications that fall behind those are what's wrong.

But. At the same time. Someone would look at me and assume I probably don't speak Chinese. And they would be right. Because most white people don't speak Chinese.
