aaaannnyyyyy ways... it doesn't really matter because media is directed towards males anyways if you haven't noticed, there are more and more movies or series were women are getting hit pretty hard and its nothing
and lets not talk about the over sexualization and objectification of women everywhere
Exactly what I thought. What if she was depicted strangling a man or if both were of the same genre? by that logic the shouln't show strangling. then, the movie shouldn't have any violence at all. which then wouldn't be an action movie
No it's not. So because a person has seen one poster of a man chocking a women they're suddenly gone decide that they're gone start hitting women. Plus you can clearly see that they aren't meant to be viewed as real people!

Precisely! It's actually a bit patronizing to all the men out there to say that just viewing a poster is going to some how turn you into an abuser. Men and women for that matter, don't abuse because they watch violence on tv or in movies. If that were the case, more than half the planet would be hitting people as we speak.
Yeah! There would probably be far less people in the world, as everybody would be killing each other. A large % of the world's population are into ONSCREEN!! violence.
As someone pointed out on some other violence and media debate, all those people huddled inside at home playing violent video games and watching violent movies are the same people who are ALSO not on the streets committing real violence, hello! Anything can trigger anyone, anything can make someone sensitive to something, but we cannot control for that against a giant population who just sees these things as what they are, fiction, a bit of stupid fun, and nothing else.
You see, I keep asking because I know you didn't, other wise you'd have answers to your own questions. That's the problem really with a lot of people is they look at a picture or they read only a title and then they go off on a rant or a tangent or accusing people of things without any of the facts.
The point is it's somewhat tricky to understand on which side you're on;
At first you make legit points about some dumb bitch complaining over a billboard and the company falling for it (instead of a proper reply "equality, ya cunt, now STFU"); then, you (justified) ridicule their logic with some legit points; so far everything's good in my eyes.
But then you end up with some links to feminist articles that focus solely on wiping woman's butt with no regards to male issues whatsoever; some of them are rather well-hidden anti-male.
So your mytake, to those that can read between the lines (this ability is a part of my job), sounds as if you're annoyed that some dumb bitch messes up with feminists by, well, being dumb and undermining their goals with issues that give them a bad press. So basically, I have a suspicion you're on feminists' side with same overall long-term goals like that dumb bitch, just you prefer more inconspicuous, yet quite effective methods in achieving targets.
Oh, so you finally got round to reading the whole thing beyond the title. Proud of you mate. How's about this to help your clarity. If you are going to piss and whine over a stupid billboard that has nothing to do with actual violence against real human beings, you are wasting your time as stated in my take, so rather then become one of the millions of useless complainers who hop on a bandwagon to complain about nothing... why not, oh I don't know, use one's complaining to actually help REAL people who need it. You have a problem with that? Really? Also, you say, well, I go on some feminist rant that is anti-male... men are abused, I allude to that multiple times, however, there are as far as I am aware no national or international services or groups that are available to help them b/c either they refuse to report or no one is willing to listen or they suffer in silence.
How can I list a group that doesn't exist and on the same token how can you deny or dismiss that women are beaten and abused everyday and need help just as I am sure the men being abused need it as well? This is a take in response to the so called idea of this poster about violence against women. I am the one who actually included men in my response and equality in movies, and yet you somehow have in in your mind that I'm not discussing deeper issues. But wait, a second ago, you said, this wasn't about deeper issues and I shouldn't be discussing real abuse and now I must also talk about men's abuse... which one is it? You have a mouth. If you want to discuss men's abuse, as a man, write about that, form your own chapters to help men and be a part of the solution instead of just complaining about it. Sound familiar?
There's one thing that I personally think you would never think of:
I don't necessarily see the development of feminism in EU/NA as a bad thing; actually, it's vice-versa: they're doing nearly irreversible damage to society and their countries, that in my opinion are beneficial to us, hence trying to "fix it" isn't in my interests. I generally engage into discussions with Westerners on this topic to get some experience in combating it if feminist disease will try to spread in my country, that's it.
In any case, there's a thing called "human rights", maybe you've heard of it. As for focusing on male issues (such as being robbed at divorce, prison terms and loads of social/work aspects) , media isn't interested in that, since men naturally are built to whine less and just suck it up.
Actually, as you put it, men whine quite a lot about these issues online. Ever read a take on here about someone wanting to get married... its' flooded with men complaining about marriage and how its simply wrong and unfair to them. However, you do have the ability to do something about it, but, again, as you put it, you don't whine enough about it, and thus nothing gets done to help you. I mean how can you expect to change the world if you intend to do nothing about it's problems other than complain on the internet?
Form what I gather, you're basically blustering here. Let's not talk about the issues, but let's talk about them. Let's use the phrase human rights to make a point, even though I've already advocated for the rights of both sexes. Let's point out how little media cares about men's issues, but then let's do nothing about it because, "men don't whine," but let's go ahead and defend the world against the ills of feminism because it's ruining the world. Sigh...
... and we've circled back to my point about those human rights you mentioned. One has to actually DO something in order to affect change. Complaining about a movie based on fiction isn't going to help real people which is why you and I got on this tangent in the first place. The internet and the world is full of people who talk large and do absolutely nothing and expect results.
"men whine quite a lot about these issues online" --> "Western* men whine quite a lot about these issues online". Fixed it for you. For every action there's a counter-action, so their motives are quite understandable. It's quite good, actually; women generally dislike whiny men, hence it ruins social aspects even heavier.
As for media, it's harder to "sell" something for men; women are more emotional and buy bullshit easier; I'm telling you this as a person who's working in business area and knows a thing or two. Media only cares about ratings and revenue; the story isn't that relevant. Men are unlikely to read and freak out about male issues, while women are mostly hypocritical about issues that do not affect them. That's the reality.
As for the rest of what you've said, I'd be glad if you'd explain it in a more simple language, since so far it didn't made much of a sense to me.
Take restaurant's kitchen. Take a head chef (who's male) and take a prep cook (not even a line cook) who's female. Salary's different? Yeap. How to make a story? Disregard different positions (trust me on this: majority doesn't bother to check), name it just "kitchen", create an article about women:men having unequal paycheck in the kitchen. Reaction? Women "buy" the bullshit and spread it like a wildfire, while men, due to natural built-in defender's instinct, but due to lack of knowledge on actual picture/research (not magazine's false drama) are more likely to support a woman on this issue.
Now vice-versa it; men don't have this instinct towards fellow men, so they'd be like "suck it up/get better, bro", while women wouldn't even give a shit: issues of others are not important to them.
But Rose McGowan is hot with big boobs, so that's why people listen to her. I don't think Fox would have apologized if someone like Ellen or a fat chick complained.
By her thinking couldn't I say every action movie is promoting violence or even horror movies are doing the same? Evert superhero movie us promoting that it's okay to destroy a city as long as the villain dies.

Nah its just a movie. She's cool looking all blue and that thing is apocalypse- is it even a man or a god? I dont even know if it has a gender
Just a movie billboard. People will see what they wanna see like that person complaining
Someone really needs to sit down.
Stare eye-eye with Rose McGowan for about... hm... I'd say 10 seconds.
And then slap her across the face.
HARD.
Maybe that'll cure her of her stupidity.

she's the leader of the xmen in the movie. who better to be choking out than the leader of the group to show he is superior to all of them?
It's promoting equality; a woman getting her ass kicked by men, just like men kick asses of other men.
Are you against equality?
Well somebody didn't read my take. Please read before you form opinions, thanks!
Okay;
Then why you're not calling to end violence against men? Are you sexist?
Again, I will repeat.. did u read the entire take?
You see, I keep asking because I know you didn't, other wise you'd have answers to your own questions. For instance, myth about "women earning less".
Take restaurant's kitchen. Take a head chef (who's male) and take a prep cook (not even a line cook) who's female. Salary's different? Yeap. How to make a story?

OH MY GOD VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN, A BAD GUY WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING BAD LIKE THAT LET'S HAVE THE VILLAIN BE TOLERANT, yeah that makes sense.
I think it is promoting a movie the creators want you to see.
This shit has gone too far. Unless Oscar Isaac was dating Jennifer Lawrence and choked her on/off set, then there's nothing to complain about.
Nah, they clearly look like superheroes. But it'd be kinda weird if it was just a normal movie, I think.
Gee a villain doing something evil? They are called villains for a reason, right?
10000 men get violently murdered in movies and nobody bats an eye. girl gets choked in a poster and everybody loses his mind.
I don't care, it's not promoting anything negative to me. Just that this movie will consist of a lot of action and battles with enemies.
It's a poster for a freakin' movie...
nothing more nothing less...
o. O
Hm, I wouldn't think so. People just see it as two enemies in a fictional superhero film.
If it was a man nobody will say a things
if it was a women who were doing that nobody will say a things too...
No. I don't think it is. It shows a villain picking up a super hero by the throat.
No it isn't it's promoting a freaking awesome movie and it's ridiculous to think it's promoting volience
