You might have heard of this guy recently, or remember him from Transformers and perhaps earlier.. Shia LaBeouf was a borderline A list Hollywood celebrity back in 2009, but seemed to lose his shine.

What Happened?

At the time, other notable "stars" such as Megan Fox and Lindsay Lohan were using their influence to act out and show their indifference on set and across the media spectacle. One could argue that Shia was just tired of behind the scenes politics.. He was not raised in the limelight, but in performance arts.

The notable turn

In early 2014 Shia attended a press conference for Lars von Trier's "Nymphomaniac". Which he stormed out of and then proceeded to wear a paper bag over his head at this red carpet event.

This in turn was no doubt a setup to his #IAMSORRY show.

He will not divide us

On January 21, 2017 a livestream began that Shia is planning to run through President Trump's term in office. In it's first capacity at the Museum of the Moving Image. This was trolled by many that could be considered alt-right..


While I don't support some of the measures taken here, I certainly am against the violent aggression/s that Mr. LaBeouf took in what was supposed to be a peaceful protest. He ended up being arrested for assaulting a protester that was behind his cause..

The epic fail.. And win!

After being released, he moved the stream to New Mexico and then to a remote location, only having the camera pointing up at a flag.. Certain users online came together and were able to pinpoint this location and effectively replace the flag with MAGA apparel. In conclusion, I believe that Shia LaBeouf was actually very successful in bringing people together.
