No, because insurance companies will encourage poor people to die instead of receiving proper medical treatment. The amount of abuse would make the holocaust look like child's play. Definitely shouldn't be allowed.
Absolutely. I think there should be age requirements and other things to consider, but for an adult that's massively suffering from an incurable illness it should be.
Sure people have the right to die, we're overpopulated as it is anyways and better than doing it by their own hands which could leave a scary scene.

Definitely. When a life has become pain and suffering it makes sense. I would want the option.
God decides when a life begins and ends, not you.
@Nickels_Lounge When people quote god or the bible I often find myself remembering Genesis 1:27, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.".
Remember that phrase, "... in his own image.". Now I don't know about you as you are only 17 but I have created two people in my own image, my son and my daughter. Does that make me a god also? As such can I not decide my own path?

You didn't create your children. God created them. You were just the vessel He used to create them.
Anybody can stop the will of God. People who use birth control and have abortions do so.
@Nickels_Lounge I would disagree with that. It takes two people to create a child, a man and a woman. Therefore it should be "Gods created my children." and not "God created my children.". It takes a man and a woman together to conceive after all.
Without God, your children wouldn't have been created. God is in every life, whether people accept that or not.

@Nickels_Lounge In John 10, Jesus has been teaching about doing what his father has given him to do, claiming a closer relationship than the Pharisees were comfortable with. They object to his claim to be divine, and he responds (v 34-36):
“Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”’? If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came — and Scripture cannot be set aside — what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?”
To defend his claim to be divine, Jesus says other people are divine too.
Doesn't mean they are the true God.

I hope you have a long and rewarding life and I wish you well. If you ever get the opportunity to go to University I strongly recommend going to Oxford in the UK where I got a BA in Theology and Religion.

If someone has terminal illness and is in pain, I don't see anything wrong with choosing to die. I mean we put down pets all the time for this very reason so why shouldn't people have the same choice?
I think it should be legal provided the person got 3 okays from shrinks that they are of sound enough mind to make said decision and were not coersed or whatever then yes.
Yes people should have that right. But they should be made to sign a waiver which requires one witness signature, that way they won't go kill themselves without anybody knowing.
Yes, no one has the right to stop you from ending your own life.

i think if you are terminally ill, you should be able to do it, but, to just commit suicide because you think life sucks.. that's not only selfish, but just plain mean

If this was legal I believe the suicide rate would increase dramatically. It would perhaps affect society in a negative way.
In the 6 states that do now allow physician assisted suicide, it is only patients with a confirmed terminal illness with 6 months left to live or less who are "allowed" this option. People can commit suicide of their own reconnaissance any time they want, and the suicide rates in this country have not increased to some astronomical point. We're specifically talking people in real tangible pain for which medicine has no more answers.
I thought you meant "paid" Euthanasia as a suicide option - "Which would be much easier than trying something painful". Sorry.
Medically assisted suicide is much better than amateurish bungled DIY suicide.

Morally, suicide is probably wrong, but if I was in a lot of pain, I would want the option. What gives anyone the right to deny this to anyone else?
Yes it's the most important human right and everyone should be able to do it even if they're 100% healthy
