1. People Make Bad Choices; Let Them
People may say all they want that they are financially strained or fail to use condoms correctly or rape somebody because they cannot control themselves, but really, most of these cases boil down to the fact that people fuck too much, and they want somebody else to take care of their problems. If abortions were legalized, then those problems were be taken care of.
The unborn would be aborted safely. No amount of human effort can stop a pregnant woman from aborting her baby anyway. If she wants to abort it, she will. At least humans will benefit from that one woman's abortion, because there will be one less human with bad genes. Illegal, unsafe abortions may be better, because both humans can die and remove themselves from the gene pool.
2. Abortion as a Means of Population Control
Humans fuck a lot. They breed every day, throughout the year, without a clear-cut mating season. In controlling the deer population, human hunters try to aim at the females, because they predict population size. Unfortunately, humans can't hunt each other. That kind of thing would be cannibalism and highly repulsive. If killing mature humans doesn't work, then there is always birth control.
But people don't use birth control consistently and don't want to sterilize themselves. So, abortion becomes the ONLY way to limit population growth. That, or removing themselves from the top of the food chain. Every species on Earth has a restriction on its own population growth. Prey animals reproduce quickly to replenish their populations; predators are limited by the number of prey. They should put each other in check. It is quite unfortunate that humans want to disrupt this delicate balance in nature and think that death is always bad.
3. Infanticide and Homicide should be Legalized Too
Why stop at abortions? Why not argue for infanticides and homicides? It may be a good thing that infanticides and homicides are permitted. If infanticides are permitted, then babies born with undesirable features can be eliminated from the gene pool. They do nothing but create an excessive burden on society. If homicides are permitted, then that just shrink the gene pool further. Humans are a very destructive species to the planet Earth.
The less humans there are, the better the world will be. Air will be cleaner. Land will be replenished by flora and fauna. Oceans will be stocked with life. Humans are not entitled to owning the planet, when the planet sustains life for all the other non-human species.
4. Eugenics
Abortion can be a good way to practice eugenics. Babies born defected are useless and serve no purpose in society, other than consuming precious resources. Babies born to individuals who cannot control their sexual desires may grow up with the same traits and perpetuate the same traits in future generations. In order to prevent such individuals from existing, they must be eliminated by means of abortion and infanticide.
