Abortion Should Be Legal

Sex these days are taken for granted because of condoms and birth control but it doesn't mean abortions should be taken for granted too. It's you're responsibility to be careful and not get pregnant. The following shows why abortion should be legal.

1. Rape

Yes I know it can be doubtful because that's some women's excuse for unwanted child but actual rape still happens everywhere in the world. Pregnancy in rape can ruin a woman's life specially for victims who just got their puberty. Depression due to rape can also harm the fetus inside. But they still need even a small evidence of rape.

2. Millions of sperm cells get destroyed

Research shows that sperm cells are living things. Millions get killed during sex or ejaculations. Each cells are unique and they could have great potentials. We have siblings with different personalities. Tho sperm isn't classified as a human nor animal life form, it's still a life form with potential and it became normal in life for men to destroy them as they produce more. And that's not all. Women sheds unfertilized egg sells every month too so it basically won't make any difference to do an abortion. However, fetus is a human life but their still undeveloped. Actual life starts at the ages 2-3 when babies lose their memories and starts remembering things and that should be considered murder if you abort babies at that age but not the undeveloped ones.

3. The religious rules were made before discoveries

As a catholic, I'm not so traditional anymore. The rules are obsolete and hasn't really changed denying scientific explanations about biology. Religion has lost it's logic. The rules could've at least allow abortion in cases of rape.

4. Kids are better aborted than to suffer from bad parents.

Unwanted children always suffer as they don't get respect from their parents who don't wanna have children in the first place giving them depression and a high risk of violence and suicide making it a big issue to society.

I only stand for abortion in the case of incest. Or if the baby will suffer greatly after being born. Like having it's heart outside it's body with only a few days or years to live. As for getting pregnant by a rapist 😕 I don't know, it's like punishing the baby for someone elses wrong doings, and the mother would still be mentally fucked up whether she has the baby or not.

Despite normally politically agreeing with the "pro life" people on just about every other issue (finance, defense, proper government functions), I just can't compel a woman to bear a child she does not want.

And even the hardest core Republicans (that are left) in California tend to feel the same. This state did legalize abortion 6 years before the wrongly decided Roe case, signed into law by then Governor Reagan no less.

Just about all abortion is birth control, really. In modern medicine, no one has to save the mother's life that way. And that's how, in every case I know of, they were used. As the ultimate back up birth control, so as not to "ruin the girl's life" and send her off to college, rather than her suffering the fate of the underclass, or like that character in "Riding In Cars With Boys".

Adoption is wonderful for cute, cuddly, drug free and white infants. (No, I am not making racial judgments here, but hey, some orphan babies get snatched up more than others, and some races are more likely to adopt than others). I pity the crack, fetal alcohol and other druggie babies. That's two strikes against them at birth.

The pro-choice majority in states like California in my generation (and even more so among the younger generation) is easy to misinterpret, but it makes sense. Imagine growing up in a world that condones, nay, encourages, sexuality in your mid-teens if not early teens, yet makes family formation too costly and impossible until you are thirty--at best. Then imagine going through those two decades with few intact courtship rituals and no effective means of compelling a child's father to act responsibly. Imagine seeing how single motherhood essentially means hopeless poverty. Finally, imagine how creating a single parent child would be a chilling replay of what so many people from divorced parents didn't like about their own childhoods.

You might still think abortion is wrong, and you might never have one yourself. But you would be hard pressed to persuade your peers that their choice to abort reflects a selfish choice against family life. They would respond, "WHAT family life?"

They're literally forcing and threatening them to have sex no matter how much she tries not to get raped. It's not a selfish choice. Not really in another part of that. After a child is outside of the womb, it's not an abortion. Woman has a baby and decides to drown it after giving birth, still infanticide. Medical and surgical abortions can generally only be carried out up to 24 weeks of pregnancy unless the health of the mother to be is at risk.
