"Injury and despondence set the stage for heroism... or cowardice"

"Injury and despondence set the stage for heroism... or cowardice"

Foreword: This was done under a challenge by a friend of mine. To use 10+ quotes of the same source to write anything under a theme. Frankly this was... difficult.

I've decided to make this take... a little more fun. See if you can guess where all the quotes come from (only one source). However, this isn't exactly the most serious take, I SUGGEST you take this with a grain of salt and just enjoy it for how it is. Also for the quotes, try to think of who would you like as a narrator to 'voice it', it'll probably be more fun that way!

But let's get to the real thing.

For some people (including myself)had an unfortunate series of events. Sometimes things just doesn't go your way and every possible outcome for the day turned out to be the worst ones possible. Sometimes you could justify it as bad luck, but it doesn't change the fact that it could be the most crushing thing.

There can be no hope in this hell, no hope at all

When you hit rock bottom, there is nothing you could do right?

Frustration builds up, emotions comes breaking. Things just get out of control, and the only thing that could be worse than your current situation, is when people you care about also gets dragged into it.

Frustration and Fury, more destructive than a thousand cannons!

Yep, when we begin to suffer stress, it's not uncommon for us to take it out on people, even when its unintentional. Hence the quote above, it could really put you in a bind if you take it out on people. Finding ways to relax and unwind is perfect.

However, that isn't to say stress is bad, stress can actually break through to a more positive light.

Adversities can foster hope and resilience

I'm sure some of you had obstacles or enemies, have you ever wondered, if you lack those, would you be a better person or a worse person? Perhaps there are problems you faced where you evolved, grew, became stronger just because of that existence.

To me, I absolutely loath stagnation, had I not faced these obstacles, I may have been a far worse person who taken everything for granted.

However, I do understand, that facing them can be very crippling. Especially when you have no alternate routes to go to.

True desperation is known only when escape is impossible

However, I'd like to point out, that though there are issues you deal with everyday. Sometimes it isn't resolved right on the spot. Sometimes you need to look at yourself and think that you aren't at your most effective. That's fine, pulling back a bit, recollecting your thoughts and changing your mindset and strategy is perhaps a far better route to finding a solution.

The sin is not in being outmatched, but in failing to recognise it

So what happens when you get a victory? That small moment when you've gained something, but the overall event isn't done yet. Think what you can do with it, it's tiny but it is enough for a few people. I'd like to consider it a push that everyone needs!

It's what we call momentum, having that small boost in morale could be an amazing force to anyone who utilise it for whatever task they have in mind!

Seize this momentum! Push on to the task's end!

That doesn't mean you are invincible. You still need to exercise some degree of caution, lest you let consecutive victories allure you to an end you aren't hoping for.

Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer

Let's switch it up a bit. Instead, what if you have almost nothing left to lose? Everything is falling around you, the world is shaking and there is no one to back you up? Don't be surprised when there are many people who faces it, sure they may not know that there ARE people who are willing to help them out, but humans are irrational.

There will be times when you think there is nothing to pull you out, nothing you can do to get out or so we say...

And now the true test... hold fast or expire.

So... are you just going to roll over and let what ever happens wash over you? I would... if it were a few years ago. But now, I just find myself to be someone that needs to keep pushing through. I just hate losing, doesn't matter to who or what. I want to win, even if it means losing a few small battles to win a war.

And so... I keep pushing, who knows? Got nothing to lose, may as well just pretend I'm a drunkard who lost his marbles and go of charging into the sunset naked with nothing to accompany me but a bottle of some kind of alcohol and maybe a chicken wing.

A moment of valour shines brightest in a backdrop of despair

And how! Struggling to get what I want or need, I may just win it!

But sometimes you just can't win them all. Yep, in this world there are winners and losers, you just happen to hit these categories multiple times, whether it is in your control or not.

But do not fret, so long as you still have a will...

Failure tests the mettle of heart, brain and body

WELL... I hope you all enjoyed this jumble of a take. It was actually a bit difficult to think of a theme with it, but if you had a good fun with it, great!

Remember this is just a take for fun in regards to keeping moving forward, don't take it too much as it is. But maybe... it gave you a reason to push through whatever hard times you are going through.
