The Concept of Loyalty!

You know the movie you watched when you were young that you still watch from time to time, and it keeps having the same effect on you no matter how many times you watch it, or that thing you bought it when you were a kid and you keep using it tell now? That's not loyalty! that's called attachment. Loyalty on the other hand requires true humanity to achieve; it requires willpower and discipline.

Loyalty is when you're offered an opportunity that's clearly better for you, but you stick with the job you have. Loyalty is when you stick with someone who you're sick to your stomach from, even though you really want to leave them and end your misery. Loyalty, like compassion, requires patience and selflessness, it's a trait of true love. this is why loyalty is stupid in some cases, as it may become harmful. But it still is a very valuable quality that's necessary in order to keep any relationship alive, because there's no relationship without really bad times where you wanna leave and end things for comfort. And that proves that there's no eternal relationship without such quality.

People might confuse "Loyalty" for "Devotion", but they aren't the same thing, because devotion is motivated by passion and desire; no willpower needed. While loyalty is something that's forced by your mind on you, it's what keeps your devotion alive.

Loyalty is one of those qualities that's difficult to possess, and it's a fantastic dream to have someone be loyal to you, because it requires humility, and selflessness which isn't who we naturally tend to be.
