A Little Take About the Chinese Zodiacs

I know not everyone believes in Astrology, be it Western or Chinese but I thought it would be fun to write about the Chinese zodiacs. So, here's just a little take about the Chinese Zodiac signs.

For those that don't know much about it, Chinese Astrology goes by the year you were born instead of the month, like Western Astrology does.

Yang- Rat, Tiger, Dragon, Snake, Monkey, Pig

Yin- Ox, Rabbit, Horse, Sheep/ Goat, Rooster, Dog

All of the animal signs fall under what is called a Trine, here is what a Trine is (according to Wikipedia). A Trine is described as

"A trine (abbrev. Tri) is an angle of 120° (1/3 of the 360° ecliptic), an orb of somewhere between 5° and 10° depending on the planets involved. The trine relates to what is natural and indicates harmony and ease. The trine may involve talent or ability which is innate. The trine has been traditionally assumed to be extremely beneficial. When involved in a transit, the trine involves situations that emerge from a current or past situation in a natural way."

First Trine- This first trine has Rat, Dragon and Monkey as it's animals. These animal signs are said to be " intense and powerful individuals capable of great good, who make great leaders but are rather unpredictable. "

Some of their other traits are : intelligence, forgiveness, charisma, charm, authoritativeness, confidence, eloquence and being artistic.

Weaknesses include: Being manipulative, jealousy, selfishness, aggressiveness, vindictiveness and deceitfulness.

Second Trine- This second trine has Ox, Snake & Rooster. These animals signs are said to " possess endurance and application, with slow accumulation of energy, meticulous at planning but tending to hold fixed opinions. "

Some of their other traits are: Intelligence, being hard working, modesty, industriousness, loyalty, being philosophical, patience, being good hearted and being morally upright.

Weaknesses Include: Self-righteousness, being egotistical, being vain, being judgmental, narrow- mindedness and pettiness.

Third Trine- This third trine has Tiger, Horse & Dog. These animals are said to "seek true love, to pursue humanitarian causes, to be idealistic and independent but tending to be impulsive. "

Some of their other traits are : Productiveness, enthusiasm, independence, being engaging, being dynamic. They are also honorable, loyal and protective.

Weaknesses Include: Being rash, rebellious and quarrelsome. They can also be anxious, disagreeable and stubborn.

Fourth Trine- This fourth and last trine has the Rabbit, Sheep & Pig. These animals signs are said to "have a calm nature and somewhat reasonable approach; they seek aesthetic beauty and are artistic, well-mannered and compassionate, yet detached and resigned to their condition. "

Some of their other traits are: Being caring, self- sacrificing and obliging. They also have sensibility, creativeness, tactfulness, are empathetic and prudent.

Weaknesses Include: Naivety, being pedantic, insecurity, selfishness, indecisiveness and pessimism.
