I am a 17 yo guy. Is 6'1" tall enough for a girl? Do I have to be 7'0"?

I am taking you seriously and ignoring your bit of sarcasm. Now, you know very well how much girls like tall guys, so I won't go into that spiel. But you won't stop growing until about age 25. So, if you are now 93% of your adult height, you will be over 6 feet 4 inches (someone correct me if you have better figures). So congratulations! Because, again as you probably know, tall males do better in nearly all parameters of success in life.

So, if you are having trouble matching up with girls you might consider changing your style, your attitude, and your behavior. Unless you weigh 300 pounds or more, eat lots of garlic, are a religious fanatic, behave like an oaf, and failed eighth grade, you merely need to wait for Nature to do its work for you. At 17, however, you are still below the median for normal, if you understand me here. Have your condoms ready for you never know.

Learn to flirt with your eyes and communicate with your facial expression. Smile appropriately. Have a list of conversational gambits ready, and don't be afraid to approach likely girls "cold."

You’re taller than average in every country in the world. Height is not the only thing that matters, trust me, if you are ugly looking or if you behave like a douchebag, height won’t help you. I’m 6’2 and I know many guys who are taller than me, but girls don’t find them attractive because they are either ugly as hell or have horrible personality. There are many things that are more important than height.

Oh man, your life must suck Gulliver's balls! While all the other kids take the school bus, you probably have to ride to school on a chihuahua's back every day. Anyway, 6'1" is slightly tall. While not tall enough to be particularly impressive, it certainly is tall enough to be considered tall. You are definitely not short.

I totally dig on taller men. No stress Hun! I say its a win on your half. You'll still young, at the age of 17 girls generally like older guys because women mature faster... but once you blossom into your full blown man stage I'd bet you a good dollar that you'll have a lot of ladies digging your height :)

It can be intimidating to some girls. Personally, although I really like tall guys, your height is a bit too tall for me since I'm only 5'2, but a lot of eastern european girls are tall so you'll have better luck there. Like my Russian and Ukrainian friends are all 5'8 or 5'9 and they are all hot and super nice so you'll definitely find someone :)

Dang, the tallest guy I've ever met was 6'5. I can't imagine what 6'11 looks like. And I don't mean that in a negative way.

If girls seem to be afraid of you then it seems more likely that you have an intimidating demeanor. Height can intimidate some people but I doubt that your height would frighten girls to the point that they'd write you off as undateable.
