I'm very close to breaking up with ma girl. Its that BAD. We could be watching a movie and omcebshe lean in for a kiss I say to myself, "Hell no bitch! Not with that stinky breath." She's been feeling down lately because I've been avoiding her kisses and when I do kiss her I have a disgusted look in my face that she has to ask, "is everything okay?" I want to yell asst her and tell her, "No, your fucking breath stinks. Have you've been brushing correctly? Eating bad combination food like oatmeal with soup and shit?" When we have sex her breath become the mist like in that movie, I feel like grabbing a pillow and suffocating her. Its smells like egg, onion, coffee, 2 week garbage. Idl. what da fuck that shit smells like.
Once we were at the store and she was speaking to a guy, and the guy was trying to hit on her. When he got close to her, his nose twitched and he was like, "yea" and walked the fuck away from her. I could not blame him.

You need to tell her directly. I don't understand how people are not aware of how their breath smells, I am paranoid about it! Tell her honestly but gently - that she is beautiful and desirable but this one thing is getting in the way of your physical relationship. And don't say "stink", say bad odor. Bad breath really comes from the tongue, that is where all the bacteria sits. They sell tongue cleaners in the dental aisle - it works wonders! If you care for her, it would be a shame to break up with her over something that can be easily fixed.

My best friend isn't the most hygienic person around (which is a nice way of saying she's one step away from falling below society's general meter of acceptable hygiene) and if we have to be somewhere early in the morning or if we're running late, she'll totally skip brushing her teeth. I regularly have to remind her to get her crap together. My telling her that her breath is hot enough to set my face on fire has not yet damaged our friendship.

Then you should kindly let her know that her breath smells bad, and I know you brush your teeth, and I just wanted to let you know, if you dont know already... that's why I haven't been wanting to kiss you much, ect. My heart s breaking as I read the hurtful things most of you are saying. My hygiene is great, I even pulled 70% of my teeth, I've change my diet, I've wasted thousands of dollars going to the dentist and the doctors, telling them about this condition hoping for a cure... only to continue to suffer in silence. I scrape my tongue and chew gum hoping not to offend people only to make my stomach hurt from chewing gum all day and all night and it still smells. It's nothing I'm doing wrong, if I could fix it I would. Stop punishing people that are hurting just as much as it hurts you! We are suffering, too. This hurts us every second!

No, I know. But the thing is, how can she not know? I know when my breath smells, because you can smell it when you're breathing. You have to be honest with her. I'd rather my boyfriend say my breath smells than I'm fat. At least I can brush my teeth. It's an easy fix.

There's no way around it really…you're just going to have to tell her. Obviously be very VERY gentle about it. The next time she notices you being weird/avoiding her kisses tell her that you've noticed her breath isn't the freshest lately and you're worried about her. Be as considerate as possible while getting your point across. Even make up a "friend that had halitosis" or something so she doesn't feel as bad.
